As president and owner of Grayhawk Development, Gregg Tryhus is the principal driving force responsible for the company’s involvement in land development, community development, golf club development and golf operations.

Gregg earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.

Actively involved with community, corporate and philanthropic organizations, Gregg has served on numerous boards both past and present. Currently, he is a Trustee for Arizona State University and President of the Sun Angel Foundation, a member of the Brophy College Preparatory Academy Board of Regents, World Presidents’ Organization, Greater Phoenix Leadership and a Life Member of the Scottsdale Charros. He also serves on the board of HelpingHands Housing Services, Thunderbird Charities, the USGA Junior Amateur Committee, Drivetime Automotive Group, and Arizona Golf Foundation. He is a past member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, past Board Member of Imperial Bank, Boys and Girls Club of Scottsdale, Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation, Scottsdale Cultural Council, and has served diligently for many other charities and organizations.

Gregg lives with his wife Sally and their two sons, Taylor and Connor. He enjoys an active lifestyle that includes golf, skiing and travel.



Vice President of Finance
Grayhawk Development

Formerly a real estate consultant and manager for the accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand, Clesson Hill joined the Grayhawk Development team in 1993 after being asked by President and Owner, Gregg Tryhus, to develop a financial sensitivity model for the Grayhawk master-planned community located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since then, the scope of his business management responsibilities have fallen into the financial specialties of debt and equity relations, cash flow planning and budgeting, tax planning and compliance, asset management and various aspects of operations.

Clesson is active in the community serving on numerous associations and boards. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, a Past President of Valley Partnership, and current Treasurer and board member of the Golf Industry Association. He also serves on the finance committee of the Crisis Nursery, is a member of AICPA and the Arizona Society of CPAs.

When not busy at the office, Clesson is an enthusiastic sports fan, particularly golf and Phoenix Suns basketball, hiking and fitness. He also takes an interest in enjoying the world through the eyes of his children.

Brian Baehr joined the Grayhawk Development team after spending 10 years in land planning and development with one of the largest home builders and master-planned community developers in Arizona. During that time, he was in charge of land development for all of the company’s projects in the Phoenix metro area. His work played a major role in the creation of many of Arizona’s leading master-planned communities, including: Foothills Club West,Westbrook Village, Ironwood Village, Gold Canyon Ranch and Warner Ranch.

Since arriving at Grayhawk in 1993, he has been responsible for land acquisition and disposition, and land development operations including master planning, civil engineering and zoning entitlement. He negotiated the acquisition of the majority of the land interests held by Grayhawk, and is responsible for most of the land sales associated with the 2,500 acres developed in north Scottsdale. He established direct relationships with land brokers, home builders, commercial developers and apartment builders. He and his staff were responsible for the development and construction of the Grayhawk Community and Whisper Rock Estates onsite and offsite infrastructure improvements that were in excess of $125,000,000.

Brian has a Bachelor’s Degree in land planning and urban design and a MBA with an emphasis in finance.

Brian, a Tempe resident, enjoys baseball, golf, remodeling his home and spending quality time with his wife and three sons.
